Learning Science

We didn't just build an app. We codified the cognitive psychology of mastery.

Beyond "Correct" and "Incorrect"

Traditional grading is binary. It tells you what a student got wrong, but not why. Synapse uses a multi-dimensional cognitive model to understand the learning process itself.

Cognitive Load Theory

Learning fails when the brain is overwhelmed. Synapse detects "Cognitive Overload" by analyzing response times and hesitation patterns. We identify when a student is struggling not because they lack intelligence, but because the task exceeds their working memory capacity.

Bloom's Taxonomy 2.0

We map every question to a cognitive depth. A student might be great at "Remembering" (Level 1) but struggle with "Analyzing" (Level 4). Synapse builds a profile of depth, not just accuracy.

The Forgetting Curve

Human memory decays exponentially. Synapse uses Spaced Repetition algorithms to predict exactly when a student is about to forget a concept and intervenes at that precise moment.

Teaching Students How to Learn

The ultimate goal of Synapse isn't just better grades. It's Metacognition. By showing students their own learning patterns, we empower them to become self-regulated, lifelong learners.
